Violette Elena Ledet was born at 7:14 PM on June 9th. Mom and baby are doing great, both taking a nap while I work on sending out announcements.

Well, tomorrow morning, Janie and I are headed to the hospital to start J on some induction meds. She's developed a rash caused by the pregnancy, which she can't medicate because of the pregnancy, and which is driving her slowly insane. Given the choice between induction and Janie going crazy and clawing her own skin off, we're going with induction. I'll post updates to Facebook and scottlovesjanie as I can.

All the other teachers leave their windows open without issue. I've been asking around. I just can't.

After I cleaned it up, for the next few days while I was working, these two pigeons would show up at the window and look at me and coo forlornly. I was really angry at them when I found all the poop, feathers, and nest, but somehow they successfully laid a guilt trip on me, and I found myself apologizing to them.

Stupid birds.

Better than monkeys, though.

Pretty well, very little to complain about, aside from the pigeons who got into my office and started making a nest under my desk a couple weekends back.

Posting from couch on CoreSolo Mac Mini (eBay) TV computer, with Logitech diNovo Mini keyboard/trackpad thing. Works great except I couldn't get Blootoot pairing to work, even though my Apple BT peripherals work fine. Luckily, Logitech bundles a dongle that worked right away.

Yeah, it's amazing. They advertise 24Mb on the DSL and deliver 3. They advertise 100Mb on the FTTH and deliver around 20.

Then the ISP throttles the hell out of it so that anything that could actually use that bandwidth gets virtually none.

I still want to see some pics of the new place. Sorry about your internet woes. Though that seems to be standard operating procedure.
